Swish Stay At The Delightful Swissotel Tallinn
Swissotel Tallinn is an elegantly designed modern hotel that offers a familiar Swiss hospitality in the tallest building in Tallin. Providing impressive views of harbour, Baltic Sea beyond and the old town.
With fine dining restaurants also affording spectacular view, a lovely heated pool and Purovel Spa are the touch of luxury you expect from a high end hotel. And the best bit? It’s very affordable pricing! I will let the pictures do most the talking!
Swissotel Tallinn Arrival & Check-in
After a 11pm flight into Tallin, it took just under 15 minutes for my cab to drop me off at the vast lobby area. The hotel is well located for exploring this city with the designated UNESCO World Heritage Old Town just 10 minutes walk away also!
There is always a feeling of excitement when you first walk into a hotel, with all the anticipation of what it would be like and in particular the distinctive smell each one has..
The lobby had several seating area with these unique feature wall lighting that can change according to time of day. I found them aptly soothing!
The gentleman checking me in was softly spoken with perfect English, It took less than 2 minutes for him to check me in and then offer to provide a quick orientation.
I liked that he proactively wanted to inform me that unfortunately the restaurants were now closed but told me I could order room service, eat at the bar or order from one of local food delivery apps.
Swissotel Tallinn Room
I booked the Swiss Advantage Harbour View room and was assigned a room on the 21st floor…
The room is supposed to be 301 square feet on paper, but it honestly felt much bigger! You have an extra large King size bed with plush pillows and sheets..
Don’t you love the panelling above the bed? I thought it looked very stylish yet still classy!
You have a large desk area where you also have the TV on one side along with Nespresso machine for you morning coffee..
There is also a nice swivel chair with a side table if you wanted to relax in that corner with a hot drink..
Swissotel Tallinn Bathroom
The spacious bathroom continues the design and dark brown colour scheme behind frosted glass panes ..
The four piece bathroom suite comes with a large shower room with good shower pressure. The suite is stocked with several miniature toiletries are from Pürovel..
Finally there is the oval shaped bathtub..

Swissotel Pürovel Spa & Pool
In my book a luxury hotel is not a luxury hotel without a good spa or at least a decent pool / jacuzzi. Swissotel Pürovel delivers here on both fronts!
The entire 6th floor is dedicated to this..
I love how even here, the aesthetics and colour scheme from the room and rest of hotel is carried through with yet more wood panelling mixed in with fabric to absorb any noise of whispers you may hear!
The lovely staff in the reception will provide you with a set of towels and keys for lockers and then show you through the changing rooms..
At the spa you will find a steam bath and sauna, 2 treatment rooms for messages and then you have a beautiful bean shaped heated pool that was a delight to just relax in..
There are more decked chairs available than it would first appear and love the huge centre columns that have deck chairs in-between the gaps. All the products and essential oils available here are organically produced in Switzerland. Naturally!
Then there is also a fully equipped gym too, which I briefly used once..
All the facilities here are open from 7am-9pm and also open to the public from 9am on a pay per use basis. However, I was glad in all of my visits, it was never got busy at all. The spa operates Quiet Hours from 6pm-9pm.

Loyalty Programme
Swissotel is part of the Accor which if you have status with offers benefits beyond miles earning and burning. Unfortunately, I am yet to join this programme, but this may soon change, as I am getting rather bored of Hyatt’s now.
Overall Thoughts
I had a delightful 3 night stay here, that I wish was longer. This hotel delivered everything I could have expected and wanted from a short city visit. I really enjoyed the spa, the views out (sorry forgot to take daytime pictures!) and had good sleep all 3 nights.
All the staff I interacted with were brilliant and just the right mix of friendly and professional. In hindsight it’s a shame I did not eat in the restaurants on the other days, but I already had several food recommendations to get through in the city.
Most the guests staying here seemed to be business types, but I did see some families as well, which provides a good balance of atmosphere. It’s my third time in a Swissotel and it won’t be the last.
