Hanaq VIP Lounge Open Lobby

Hanaq VIP Lounge Lima, Peru

Hanaq VIP Lounge In Lima is one of many similar lounges I have visited throughout my travels around South America. There are lounges that tend to be used by multiple airlines and thus do not have any signature look or feel with respect to any airline brand alignment.

My flight from Lima, Peru to Medellin, Colombia was a 3.5 hour day flight. I arrived at the Lima airport 2.5 hours before and had plenty of time to chill in a lounge. I was flying LATAM who invited me to use Sumaq VIP lounge also in the international departure, but I liked the look of this lounge more.

Access & Location

Lima airport is not especially big. You will find this lounge past security after passing gate 17, and turning left a few meters after it.

This is a Priority Pass Lounge, but you can also pay $68 dollars to get in.

The sign post to most lounges around these type of airports always show a non-descript “Salones VIP” sign.

Hanaq VIP Lounge Spaces

There is a bench just by the entrance, should this ever be at capacity and you need to wait it out for a while..

Once in, you are greeted by a lovely airy double height sort of lobby area.

Some areas feel rather dark especially where the lamps by the console tables are off,

I found most of the spaces to be well kept and clean throughout. The atmosphere was generally quite relaxed

Hanaq VIP Lounge Food & Drinks

There are two food buffet areas in this lounge. With a good selection of light dishes during the lunch period.

Overall thoughts

This is a very pleasant, decent lounge with a great atmosphere, lots of power points everywhere, reasonable selection of food and beverage.  It was not too crowded either. A few weeks after this I visited a lounge in Medelin which was far smaller with even less food options during peak dinner time!

Nap room was definitely an extra I would not have expected. Certainly one of the best Priority Pass lounges anywhere.
