Lounge Reviews

The Lounge Medellin In Pictures

The Lounge Medellin visit was part of my South America trip last year. I was flying back in Iberia Business Class to Madrid on the A330, which I am yet to review, but you can read my flight out to Santiago Chile. Iberia handed me an invitation to this lounge along with my boarding pass. This lounge is also part of the Prority Pass network.

Access & Directions

Medellin airport is quite compact, there are just a handful of shops and small duty free area. I arrived just past 8.30pm in the evening for my 10.55 departure.

There are less than 20 gates. Signs for Lounge is shown in a few places.

Literally just 3 flights getting out for the rest of the night. The lounge is located on the first/mezzanine level.

As I walked in, there were two staff at the reception. One checked me in, while the other offered to show me around.

Yes, this was the entire food selection! Just two hot options, rice and a soup!

The Lounge Medellin Showers

After a light salad, I decided to have a shower.

From what I could tell, there was only two showers available. Given the lounge was fairly busy, I was surprised not to have to wait.

After another hot drink, I made my way to the gate.

Overall Thoughts

This was quite a pleasant place with a good atmosphere, and enough to keep kids entertained while you relax or do some work. The food selection was pretty poor though, which is a real shame, considering Medellin has fabulous cuisine!
